The Lisbon What?

Via Cynical Chatter, I see that our Minister for Europe and class A douche Caroline Flint has "read some of it but not all of it."

"It" being the EU's Lisbon Treaty.

Now, I'm no expert, but surely, as an elected legislator (why, voters of Don Valley, goddammit why?!) and Minister for Europe, one of her prime functions should be carefully reading major legislation from the EU? The Lisbon Treaty is about as major as it gets.

Maybe this is why we were told by the government the Lisbon Treaty was nothing like the EU Constitution: no one in the government read it. I'll admit, as a literary piece, it's not exactly unputdownable, but then, what the hell do we pay you for? This isn't a school assignment, Caroline, this is governing. So govern.
